Stones Also Cry Out ( Ishikoro mo Sakebidasu )

Megumi Enomoto

Signposts of the 70 years after WW2. The author shares essays on peace from the view of the Christian Ashram movement founded by his father, Yasuroh Enomoto. Ashram meetings focus on listening to God's voice by reading a Bible passage and then discussing it with nobody as leader or speaker. So he shares meditations on Matthew 26: 47-50 and other passages. He also introduces an Okinawan peacemaker Shohko Ahagon and his work. He shares a biblical basis for peace, not a humanistic one. The context is present day Japan now in the process of breaking the peace of the Post WW2 years in response to regional issues (N. Korea, etc). Christians need to speak out with a biblical view, or "the stones will cry out"(Lk.19:40). B6* size, 160 pp.
